“I’ve been going on the common all my life and I’m now nearly 87. It’s a fabulous area for the people of Warwick to enjoy, why then does anything need to be changed? Fencing off for the birds nesting, it wasn’t fenced off during the war and the birds survived. Leave it as is for folk to exercise their dogs, fly model planes and kids to run on the grass in complete safety. So stop upsetting one grumpy old man who still loves and enjoys the common.”
